God’s rainbow is a beautiful sign of His promise to never flood the earth again, as he did with Noah’s ark. It stands for hope and faith- something that cannot be taken away or destroyed by anything. But sadly, satan has twisted this truth and uses it in an attempt to deceive the lost.
The bible tells us that pride and self-sufficiency are sins, and God’s rainbow is not about that. It does not stand for those things; it stands for something much greater and more beautiful. 1 John 2:16 says “For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.” We must remember that God’s rainbow is a symbol of His faithfulness and promise, not something to be taken as a sign of self-importance.
The bible also tells us in Genesis 9:13 that the rainbow is “the sign of the covenant between me and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” It is a reminder of the love and protection God has for us, and that He will never leave or forsake us. In Exodus 24:17 it says “To the eyes of the children of Israel the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire on the mountain top.” This is an example of how powerful His presence can be.
Satan may try to use God’s rainbow as a tool of pride and self-sufficiency, but we must remember that it is not for those things. It stands for hope, faith, love, and protection from the Lord. We should be thankful that He created this beautiful reminder of His promise to us.
God’s rainbow will always stand for something greater than our own pride or self-sufficiency. As His children, we should be reminded of His faithfulness and never forget the hope He has given us in this sign of His covenant with us. Let us not be deceived by the lies that satan tries to tell us about God’s rainbow. Instead, let us accept it as a sign of His love for us – and take comfort in knowing that He will never leave us.
No matter what, God’s rainbow is a symbol of His faithfulness to keep His promise and be with us always. Praise be to God for this beautiful reminder! Amen.
