God created woman to be the beautiful and delicate heart of the family. He designed her to embody true femininity through both her inward and outward beauty.
The Bible is full of verses that remind us of this truth. Proverbs 31:30 says, “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Her beauty comes not from her physical appearance, but from the love and reverence she has for God.
The Apostle Paul writes about this beauty in 1 Timothy 2:9-10, saying “I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.”
Mary is an example of true feminine beauty from the Bible. In Luke 1:28, we read that when angel Gabriel appeared to Mary he said “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Later in Luke 1:48, Mary sang a song praising God for His righteousness and truth. This was an act of humble beauty that showed the world who she was–a devoted follower of God.
God’s view on true femininity is based on the heart and soul of a woman, not her physical appearance. He created women to be beautiful inside and out, in every part of their lives. He expects us to love and revere Him, show kindness towards others, use our talents to serve Him faithfully, and strive for modesty in all we do. True feminine beauty radiates from within and shines brightly for God’s glory.
In the end, it is this inner beauty that reveals a woman’s true femininity–and that is what matters most. As Proverbs 31:30 reminds us, “A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
So trust God to cultivate true feminine beauty in His sight as a woman is truly a preciously gifted compliment to man.
