We, as believers in Christ, have been granted the privilege of being a part of God’s spiritual royalty. Through our relationship with Jesus, we are called to be a “royal priesthood,” a “peculiar people,” and a “holy nation” (1 Peter 2:9). As God’s chosen people, we have been called to represent our King on the earth and bring glory to His name.
God desires that His spiritual royalty live out their faith boldly and with joy, living a life of peace, love, and obedience to Him in all areas. We are given the opportunity to partner with God in fulfilling His purpose for creation (Ephesians 1:11). As we take part in this mission, we are to follow His guidance and direction as He works through us.
The Bible encourages us to be living examples of Christ’s love, grace, and mercy. As spiritual royalty, we are tasked with living out our faith in all aspects of life including our relationships with other believers, nonbelievers, and the world around us. We have the privilege of bringing light and hope into this world, and ultimately leading others to a life of salvation.
Living as spiritual royalty requires us to be humble and obedient to God’s Word. We must seek His guidance every day so that we can be more like Him. We must strive to lay down our own desires so that God’s will is done through us (Philippians 2:5-11).
Our spiritual royalty is a reminder of the great gift that Jesus has given us. As we live out our faith, may we be encouraged to remember who we are in Christ and how He desires for us to live. May our prayers reflect His glory as we seek to bring about His kingdom on earth (Matthew 6:10). We are chosen and called to live as citizens of His kingdom, so let us respond with joy and obedience.
May we be reminded of the call He has given us: to be His spiritual royalty, living a life of faithfulness and honor, setting an example for those around us. That our actions bring glory to His name! Amen.
