What is Godly wisdom?

Godly wisdom is a precious commodity in today’s world. It goes beyond what the world offers, as it is based on principles from the Bible and not just human logic or experience. Godly wisdom enables us to view life through His eyes and embrace the truth that He has for us.

But why is this kind of wisdom so important today? Proverbs 2:6-8 says, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity.” This passage makes it clear that Godly wisdom is something we must seek out if we want to live in alignment with His will and principles. It gives us the understanding we need to make better decisions in life, as well as a shield of protection from making foolish mistakes or falling prey to temptations.

Godly wisdom also allows us to see the world through a different lens than what society teaches us. Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” This means that society’s definition of success may not be aligned with God’s will, and we need to rely on His wisdom to make sure we aren’t just blindly following what everyone else is doing.

Godly wisdom is an essential part of living a fulfilling and meaningful life, and it can only be obtained through studying the Word of God. We must commit to seeking out His truth every day in order to make wise decisions that honor Him. By growing in our understanding of Jesus’ teachings, we will be able to live more abundantly and joyfully in every season of life.

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7). We must strive to seek out God’s wisdom in order to live a life that is pleasing to Him. The more we learn from Him, the more we will understand His ways and be able to live in complete obedience to His Word. So let’s resolve today to pursue wisdom from God and learn how to apply it in our lives!

By doing so, we can truly live according to His perfect plan and enjoy all the blessings that come with it. May we seek out God’s wisdom more and more each day!
