Raising a child God’s way is vitally important in today’s world. Teaching children God’s truth and values gives them the foundation they need to live successful lives. Not only will this help protect them from society’s negative influences, but it will also provide them with hope, guidance, and love.
God has a specific purpose in mind for every child. In Psalm 57:2, it reads “I will cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me.” We can trust that God has a plan and purpose for each of our children and that He will fulfill His promises to them.
In Ephesians 6:4, it says “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” This scripture reminds us that we have an important role to play as parents- that is, to be a spiritual leader for our children and train them up according to God’s Word. As parents, we must strive to be an example of Christ and show our children what it means to live a Godly life.
God also calls for us to invest in His kingdom by investing in our children’s lives (Proverbs 22:6). We should look for ways that we can encourage them spiritually, academically, and mentally. This means equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in life, both physically and spiritually. Investing time into their spiritual growth through prayer, reading the Bible together, attending church, and talking about God’s love can make a huge difference in their lives.
Ultimately, our goal as Christian parents should be to raise our children with the love of God and to teach them His truth. By doing so, we can help create a lifelong relationship between them and Jesus. We must always remember that our children are gifts from God, and it is our responsibility to ensure that they grow up in a safe environment where they learn how to live according to God’s Word. By trusting Him and His plan for our children, we can raise them to become the future leaders of tomorrow.
